Julie sorry t5o bother you on small matter unable to find out on internet I am on state pension and 75 next birthday //do i get an increase on reaching this age thanking you on anticipation of your reply Peter

Dear Julie.

I see in the south wales echo dated 5th December 2007, that you are proposing a bill to reduce the voting age to 16.

By doing this, you are targeting an age group that this current labour government have made it illegal for 16yr olds to purchace tobacco products and increased the school leaving age to 18.

I really think that by lowering the age of the elctorate to 16 is hipocritical of a party that have been out of touch with society and have got complacent with their years in Government.

What you have got to remember, that these are the people, that can and possibly will vote you out of office at there earliest convenience, so please do us all a favour and go ahead with this bill.

Or to save time, please retire now.

Just wanted to take time to thank you for this nice site. I found it by accident but I will return for sure. Lots of helpful information that I found very interesting. Thanks again.

Children Are Unbeatable!

  • I support the Children Are Unbeatable! Alliance, campaigning for the UK to satisfy human rights obligations by modernising the law on assault to afford children the same protection as adults. Hitting children is as unacceptable as hitting anyone else and should be equally unlawful. The Alliance is the broadest campaign coalition ever assembled on a children’s issue, bringing together more than 400 organisations and many more individuals.
